Explore a handful of gentle practices and notice which ones
help you settle.
Velvet Hammer is a 60-minute group experience that begins with physical vibration through a meditation cushion, then gradually adds breathwork, binaural audio, and a simple guided meditation. Near the end, optional Reiki is introduced while the rest of the experience continues.
Stay seated on the cushion or move it aside and lie back on the mat. Follow every cue, modify something, skip a piece that doesn’t work for you. Everything is introduced along the way, so you can focus on experiencing it rather than decoding it.
The point isn’t to master a technique. It’s to notice what changing state actually feels like for you, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Velvet is how the experience builds: vibration, breath, sound, meditation, stillness. Each layer is gentle.
Hammer is what can happen when those layers accumulate. Something that felt subtle on its own can become much easier to notice when it is part of a larger composition.
The goal isn’t intensity. It’s contrast. How did you arrive? How do you feel now? What changed along the way?
You might already know meditation works for you. Maybe breathwork does. Maybe sound. Or maybe you have no idea because you’ve never tried any of them.
Velvet Hammer lets you experience several approaches inside one deliberately layered hour instead of choosing a single practice in advance. You may notice that one piece stands out. You may find that it’s the combination that changes the experience. Either is useful information.
And the experience doesn’t have to stay in the room. The guided meditation is designed to be easy to remember and powerful enough to return to later, giving you a practical way to reconnect with the state you experienced in class.
Get comfortable. Try the tools. Notice what works.
You’ll receive a small take-home kit when you arrive, settle in with a mat and meditation cushion, and take a quick inventory of how you’re feeling before the experience begins.
Sit or lie down as the layers build. At the end, you’ll check in again, have space to ask questions or share if you want to, and leave with a few things designed to help you carry the experience forward.
